Best Action and Adventure Films of 2012: New trailers of "Wrath of the Titans", "Prometheus", "Safe House", & "Lockout"
85Introduction
Now, it's time to see what action films we have to look forward to next year. Yep, it seems like we got a lot of them to look forward to, as we not only have another "Expendables" film coming out, but we also have "Battleship" too! Won't that be fun watching an action/sci-fi film based on a damn board game? Oh joy! Well not really, but the point is that we have a lot of action and adventure films coming out next year, so lets go over them shall we. As I stated in my previews for "Horror and Monster Movies of 2012", some of these movies fall into multiple categories, so you might start seeing the same movies that were mentioned in a previous 2012 preview hub of mine being displayed here. The reason behind this is because unlike last year, I decided to categorize these previews into perspective film categories, as I feel it'll help my readers be able to find the films they're interested in a lot better this way. Therefore, I can't assume that the same person that reads my "Best Comedies of 2012" will necessarily read my "Best Romantic Comedies and Love Stories of 2012."
However, like my previous hub previews in the past, there will be a listing of the cast, synopsis and release date if they're available. But, if for whatever reason some of these films don't have any of the previous things mentioned yet, then you can be sure that I'll be updating it later on; hence why I strongly encourage readers to check back here for frequent updates, as these previews will be updated until December 31, 2011. Another thing worth mentioning is that a few of these previews will have trailers attached while others don't. The ones that don't will be updated with ones as soon as they're available; since it's likely some of these films won't have trailers available yet.
And, before we get started, I have to say that I wouldn't expect the next "Die Hard" film to be listed here. No, according to imdb and various sites, the movie has been pushed back to 2013, due to the script not being finished yet. I do apologize to any and all this may concern, but I will update this hub if anything changes. Also be sure to check your local listings, as release dates are subject to change.
Update 1: Due to the release date of "William Tell 3D" still being unconfirmed for 2012, it has been removed from this list. I do apologize for any and all inconvenience this may cause.
Update 2: Jean-Claude Van Damme's new movie, "The Butcher", has been recently re-titled "Six Bullets."
Update 3: Nicolas Cage's new film, "Medallion", was re-titled to "Stolen", but due to it's constant unconfirmed release date status, it has been removed from this hub.
Update 4: Due to the unconfirmed release date status of "Pan", it has been removed from this hub.
Update 5: "The Man with the Iron Fists" has been removed from this list, due to it's constant unconfirmed release date status throughout the year.
Update 6: Due to casting delays, it looks like Spike Lee's action film, "Oldboy", is now unconfirmed if it'll be released in 2012 if at all. Therefore, it's been removed from this list. I do apologize for any inconvenience.
Update 7: Due to various production delays, the new "Star Trek" sequel has been pushed back to 2013; hence it's removal from this hub. I do apologize for any inconvenience, as I'll be sure to update this hub if that should change anytime soon.
Update 8: The infamous "James Bond" sequel has recently been titled, "Skyfall."
Update 9: Due to various production delays, it looks like "Ghostbusters III" is being pushed back until at least 2013. I do apologize for any inconvenience, but I'll be sure to update this hub again if that should change anytime in the near future.
Update 10: The Mortal Instruments has been removed from this hub, due to it's constant unconfirmed release date for 2012.
Update 11: Clash of the Titans 2 was recently re-titled "Wrath of the Titans"

i think John Carter of Mars, Avengers, DKR, World War Z and Promethues are the only ones worth checking out. The rest i think could be entertaining but not something you'd remember in a couple of years. Concrete Blondes on the other hand thats a separate conversation...lol
good list
lots of good movie information - thanks for the effort
Thanks for putting this together! I see some good pics coming up, as well as some real dogs which will be a miracle if they actually get released.
hmm most of these look good but half are remakes and prove how out of ideas hollywood is! Johna hill was better fat, on second thought red dawn 2 has a nice twist with korean soilders, sean bean should be a good hook!
Is "Red Dawn" finally coming out in '12? Last I'd heard, it had completed its principal photography but got caught up in MGM's bankruptcy mess and had no money left for any post-production work, (i.e. editing, music, etc.) so it was sitting on a shelf somewhere.
what no ghostbuster,or star trek next year thanx dr buzzkill lol
This hub got me so pumped about all the films that are coming out next year. looks like a great year for movies. great work. always a treat to read your hubs. voted up and awesome.
Nice hub. Look forward to "One For the Money" and "Hunter Killer." Thanks.

Great least of action movies. A few that I am questioning the common sense of the movie studios. Thank you for gathering all this into one place.
