Best Science Fiction Films of 2012
75Introduction
Who doesn't love science fiction? Why when I was a boy, this used to be my favorite genre of film, and arguably still is; although I try to like all genres just as equally since I have to review movies on this site. However, there's no doubt that science fiction has had a huge impact on cinematic history. Why if it wasn't for science fiction, then we never would've gotten such films like "War of the Worlds", "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and others.
Heck, where would we be if we didn't have such great science fiction where an audience can witness a boy finding out that an evil being named Darth Vader was his father? Or where would we be if we didn't see Marty McFly go back in time? Indeed, where would cinema be without science fiction? Well, that's why I'm proud to present, "Best Science Fiction films of 2012." Unlike last year, I've taken the liberty of categorizing each preview hub in perspective categories. Unfortunately, this also means you might start to see films like "Men In Black III", for example, being listed in this hub, as well as the "Best Comedies of 2012" one too. The reason being is because I can't assume every reader that reads this hub will necessarily read "Best Comedies of 2012" as well.
Another thing to keep in mind is that not all these movies will have trailers, as some have yet to release one. However, I will be updating this hub for the rest of the month once it becomes available.
Unfortunately, I also would like to advise readers not to expect "Ghostbusters III" and the next "Star Trek" sequel to be in this hub after all. Due to various production delays of both movies, they've been pushed back. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but I will be updating this hub if that changes anytime soon.
Also, be sure to check your local listings, as release dates are subject to change.

A good portion of these look good. I love Peter Berg, but Battleship looks really bad to me. I like the actors in it for the most part, but I just have a hard time believing it will be anymore than explosions. John Carter From Mars, Prometheus, Hunger Games and Men in Black 3 all look very good. Even Total Recall could be good.
