Best Super Hero Films of 2012: Featuring the new trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation
75Introduction
Although I know I'm early this year, I decided to finally publish some of my preview hubs starting this month. Unlike year's past, I've taken the liberty to categorize these movie previews into perspective categories; versus last year where you could find the preview to "The Change-Up" on the same article as "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."
I feel this will better help my readers scan through and find films that may interest them a lot better. Like last year, the film previews will have a brief summary along with cast listings. Plus, you can expect the release dates listed on there too for good measure. In addition to all the casting information and rating, I'll also be providing a few trailers. Granted, not all movies are going to have trailers on these hubs, but I will be adding more videos, as they're released to go along with the films mentioned. That's why I strongly encourage anyone to visit these hubs frequently until the end of December 31, 2011, as that will be the final day when I stop adding videos to these preview hubs for 2012. Anyway, to kick off our preview hub series, we have the superhero films on deck.
It's been no secret that superhero movies are the current craze these days in Hollywood, and next year should be an exciting year for them as we not only have a reboot of Spider-Man coming up, but we'll finally be treated to the long anticipated "Avengers" movie as well. Plus, there's Nolan's final Batman movie to look forward to along with many others. Unfortunately, due to recent production delays, the new Superman reboot and "Wolverine" won't be coming out in 2012, as previously expected. Therefore, if you're wondering why those films aren't mentioned here, then that's essentially the reason why. However, if any news comes out within the near future to suggest otherwise, then you can expect them to be added to this hub soon; hence another reason to keep checking back here until the end of the 2011 year. Anyway, let's get down to business shall we.
Take in mind that some of these release dates are subject to change, so be sure to check your local listings for further details.
Update #1: According to recent sources, it turns out that the "Lone Ranger" will be heading to theaters next year after all.
Update #2: In recent news, it looks like "The Lone Ranger" will be delayed after all, due to scheduling issues. It's new release date is May 31, 2013 instead. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I'll be sure to keep this hub updated if there's any changes.

Wow amazing action ahead... am waiting to watch all the flicks. Great hub, thanks for sharing.
i just saw warrior and i thought it was really good. Tom Hardy was a beast in it, i kept thinking bout how perfect he is in the role of Bane and i'm so much more excited for the Batman movie now.
Im ready to see Batman got knocked around quite a bit lol
I'm most looking forward to The Avengers, G.I. Joe, The Dark Knight Rises, and possibly The Amazing Spiderman and Dredd. I think I'll pass on Ghost Rider.
Dredd...I hope it will better than Sly's action flick.
Really looking forward to the last Batman movie! It should be epic.
Well, i think Anne Hathaway will be a great catwoman as well. I think she definitively has the look (especially the eyes). i just saw drive to and it made me think that ryan gosling should have been Hal Jordan
im pretty sure it was confirmed that Marion Cotilard is Talia Al Ghul. if not confirmed it is known at the least.
but yeh i was pleasantly surprised with Drive. I never thought much of Ryan Gosling, but he definetly did a fantastic job in the movie. I always thought he certainly looked the part of Hal Jordan, and now i know for sure he could act. To bad the studios went with Ryan Reynolds just because he is much more marketable.
i know Evans was at first hesitant to take the part though. Yeah i know all that about Ryan Reynolds, i just think they made a mistake but im glad they choose him over Cooper and Timberlake. I'm just saying i think Gosling would have been the better way to go for GL.
As far as Talia, i may be wrong but i'm expecting a curveball in this film. I think Cotilard or Joseph Gordon-Levitt's characters will be that curveball.
I can continue to make the GL film the butt of a lot of my jokes on here. lol. i agree Reynolds wasn't the problem to lol, the problem was the writing and the directing.
or....megan fox as carol
omg not the lone ranger. I never got the appeal the first time around
The avengers trailer is soooo awesome and I cant wait for ghost rider!!!!
who is going to see Mission Impossible 4 solely for the 15 min prologue to TDKR....*Nick slowly raises his hand*
me and my friend may walk out right after the prologue after a round of applause lol
id walk in to see the prologue. then go see Girl with a Dragon Tattoo or Sherlock Holmes. Then rush home and write a review for the prologue and the movie lol
Hoping the new Ghost Rider will be better than the first movie. G.R. is a great character and the last flick didn't do him justice at all.
The only movie i am looking forward to in 2012 is The Dark Knoght Rises! Love Batman to bits, especially this trilogy! (May be a bit of Spiderman will do me no harm!)
Good work!
