Best Upcoming Films of 2011 III-Halloween remake, hartmere s, jon and more

Another year has passed, and it's time for me to display some of Hollywood's latest films coming out for next year. For those of you that aren't familiar with my hub previews, this is how it works. I basically give you a plot summary, cast listing, writing and director credit. Some of these previews will have trailers, while most don't. This is largely due to the fact that many of these films are currently filming, or in post production, as we speak. Another thing worth noting here is that this isn't a complete list of all the movies coming out next year, but I feel confident that this hub covers most of them that are being released, within the U.S.A.

Take in mind, some of these release dates are subject change, so be sure to check your local listings for any changes. I also didn't exactly have time to put all these in chronological order, but every movie listed here (or most of them anyway) has a release date listed.

Also, be sure to check out my other hubs based on upcoming films in 2011, as this is only the third chapter in a four part series. Therefore, if you don't find the 2011 movie your looking for on here, then chances are it might be on one of the other three hubs on film previews for next year. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy my list of films that I researched you.

Synopsis: L.A. screenwriter David Sumner relocates with his wife to her hometown in the deep South. There, while tensions build between them, a brewing conflict with locals becomes a threat to them both.

Why? Why is this movie even being made? Seriously, the original starring Dustin Hoffman was perfect the way it was, and still paints a detailed and thought provoking picture about humanities' darkness. Therefore, why do we even need this remake? Oh well. Anything for a quick buck these days in Hollywood.

Synopsis: A vengeful father chases after the men who killed his daughter. Oh, it's also in mind blowing 3-D. Now instead of just seeing Nicolas Cage try to act like another rebel bad a**, like he did in "Gone in 60 seconds", you'll get to see him do it and blow s*** up in mind blowing "3-D!" Oh boy!

I guess if you can't come up with an original concept or story, it pays to make a movie where people just blow crap up and get hot girls in 3-D.

Synopsis: George Miller-directed sequel to the 2006 CGI hit about Emperor Penguins, deep in Antarctica, where you're nobody unless you can sing—which is unfortunate for Mumble (Elijah Wood), who is the worst singer in the world. He is born dancing to his own tune... tap dancing.

As of right now, there's no official word on what this new movie is about yet. Although it promises pretty much more of the same stuff that fans enjoyed from the last movie. More singing. More penguins, and more dancing....only this time it's all in 3-D!

Synopsis: After the successful franchise, "Shrek", has finally come to an end, what could be next for Dreamworks now? A prequel? Spin-off? Or what? Well, it seems Dreamworks has just that in mind, as they're prepared to release next year, "Puss in Boots."

For those wondering if this will be based off the classical children story, the short answer is yes and no. The story will be faithful to "Puss in Boots" humble beginnings but take in mind, that this film is more of a prequel spin-off to the "Shrek" franchise. Chronicling Puss' life leading up to the events where he meets Shrek and Donkey, for the first time, in "Shrek 2."

Synopsis: Although Chloe Moretz won't be returning in this sequel, I'm still looking forward to this movie, as I'm such a huge fan of the books. The second movie is based off Jeff Kinney's second novel, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules", about the ongoing misadventures of Greg Heffley, as he continues to struggle in school with peer pressure, friends, girls, and his family. Oh and for those of you who never read the book, the second story focuses a bit more on Greg's relationship with his older brother Rodrick, whom has made it a habit to pick on his little brother whenever he sees fit.

Synopsis: Right now, there's very little if anything about this film's synopsis that's been officially announced.  However, it's said to be a dramatic biography based on Mary, the alleged mother of Jesus Christ.  Therefore, one can only presume that this film is more than likely a movie based on her entire life story, and how she went onto become the mother of perhaps one of the most controversial figures of all time, Jesus Christ.

As Ray struggles to find honest work, his old bank-robbing crew, led by Phillip Larue (Corrigan), offers him one last job. He agrees at first, but changes his mind at the last second leaving the crew without a driver. Ray decides instead to serve as a chaperone for Sally's school field trip. When the robbery goes awry, Larue blames Ray and chases the school bus all the way to the Museum of Natural History in New Orleans. Ray must deal with Larue, while supervising Sally's class on what becomes one of the craziest school trips ever.

Wow, just when you thought Hollywood was over trying to convert wrestlers to actors, they come and pull out a film like this. Don't you just love capitalism?

Synopsis:  From the same studio that brought you the "Ice Age" films, comes another animated adventure for the entire family to enjoy, and what do you know it's in 3-D too.  Hooray!  Not really, as this is starting to become a bit ridiculous with the amount of 3-D animated movies coming out these days.  However, this does star Jesse Eisenberg, one of Hollywood's most under rated actors out there, so I guess we should give this a shot.  The story of the film is as follows:

When Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, meets the fiercely independent Jewel, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with this bird of his dreams.

Synopsis: For those that read my review of "Saw 3-D", then you should remember a statement on there that states horror movies only claim to be the final chapter within their franchises, in order to generate money, and that they only end up making more sequels, reboots and remakes in the long run. Well...such is the case with "Halloween." For those of you that remember Rob Zombie claiming that "Halloween II" was going to be his final film within the franchise, then you heard right. It was his final film within the franchise. Sadly, the studio didn't feel the same way... Now, we have "Halloween III" aka "Halloween 3-D."

To make matters worse, Rob Zombie, the inventive genius that revitalize the franchise a few years ago, isn't coming back to be a part of this new film. Sure, I have him listed as one of the writers for this movie, but that was only because he created some of the characters that are going to be used in the sequel.

Therefore, we'll have to wait and see how this new chapter turns out, as very little information is given out at this time; regarding the movie's official plot. Although I'm sure it probably involves the legendary serial killer, Mike Myers (no, not the comedian from SNL), going around and killing a bunch of innocent teenagers. Yeah...won't that be fun to watch in 3-D kiddies?

Mayhem ensues when he tries to make things better for the future generation. Street justice will indeed prevail.
