I'll Always Be Happy When I'm By Your Side
The times we spend together are always one of the best parts of my day,
The chance to make you smile and laugh makes me happy,
Whenever we spend time together,
I always feel like the luckiest guy in the world,
Because I'm with you,
I know there's other girls out there in the world,
However, none of them compare to you,
Whenever you're around,
your the only girl that exists in my eyes,
No one has touched my heart and reawaken my emotions like you have,
That's why I'll always care about you,
Not a day goes by I don't ever feel lucky to have met an angel like you,
I hope you believe me when I say that you'll always hold a special place in my
heart,
Even when your not around,
I always know you're with me in spirit,
As I take all your lessons to heart as I think fondly of you,
Thinking about you when you're gone as our times together grow ever so brief these days,
but it always makes the times we do see each other that much more special to me,
I love the times we spend together and would never want them to go away,
As you'll always be special in my eyes no matter what happens in my life,
To me you'll always be the same sweet and cute girl that captured my heart from the
moment we met,
That's why you'll always have a special place in my heart whenever I think about you,
That's why I'll always be happy being by your side.

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. To be honest, I don't really write poetry that often, as I only do it whenever there's something that really inspires me to. As far as writing a book goes, I've actually contemplated it before, but I can't seem to get a solid story wrapped into my head on what exactly the story should be about. Oh well, I'm sure I'll come up with something. I have a few ideas, but nothing that really jumps out at me so to speak. How about yourself?
Poetry isn't really my thing, I'm more like you in that regard. As far as a novel, I have been working on a horror drama for the past five years. A couple of my teachers at school are published authors have read what ive done and have said that for a young age I am surprisingly good. Yet I still doubt myself a little bit, it's a tough thing to put your work out there when your done. I have been at the end of my book for close to a year and just the finality of it is scary. I posted on here an excerpt of my novel actually

My novel is about the Biblical apocalypse and focuses on a small group surviving as this big event goes on around them. Even deeper it focuses on these two brothers as they lead the group, one is an ex-marine who is a bit of a drunk who everyone believes could lead them to survival. There is other stuff, but I am trying to be as brief as possible. lol. I've worked on it for a long time, the hub was essentially a chapter straight from my book. It focuses on one character who actually turns out to be a fallen angel. His name was Creed, and he was the lead angel in heaven before he fell.
