Introduction

Well after seeing how well my last hub on this topic went, I decided to make another one. For those of you who didn't read my last hub on this topic, I basically formulated a list of all the celebrity weird hairstyles that I thought were worth noting. Granted, I know there's probably been a lot more stranger hairstyles in the past worn by celebrities, but these are the ones that have stood out most to me over the years. Like the previous chapter of this series, I'll be giving you a bit of information about each selected celebrity along with a video that pays homage to them.

For those of you who wish to read my previous chapter on this topic, then please click here. By the way, I did add more celebrities on my previous chapter, so be sure to check them out for updates. Now, it's off with the show.

  • How to Make a Delicious Low Fat Coconut Cream Meringue Pie

I hate baking. But I love pies. And not just any pies, mind you! I only love meringue pies and thought the only way to make them was with a lot of sugar, and a lot of time. But I was wrong! It turns out that you can make a low calorie... - 13 months ago

Cassandra Peterson as Elvira

To be honest, I never seen anything that Elvira was in. I think I saw a few scenes with her in a movie once, but it was a long time ago when I was young boy. However, I must say...she's rather hot for a goth girl. Although I don't normally look at goth girls, as most of them tend to creep me out. Not that there's anything wrong with it, as I've had a lot of goth friends in the past. However, I've never seen a goth girl that's anywhere near as sexy as Elvira. Plus, she has an interesting weave of hair that's very unique, yet it only makes her look sexier. I don't know why, as most people would probably come off looking ridiculous with that kind hairstyle, yet she pulls it off quite well. In fact, I still think she's attractive even though she's probably old enough to be my mom. I'm just saying.

For those wondering how she came onto the scene, then I'll gladly explain. As I said earlier, I've never really seen anything that Elvira has done, outside of a few scenes in a movie, I did do some research on her to find out the scoop.

What was originally supposed to be a relaunch of the 1950s Vampira Show; which previously starred Maila Nurmi. Mrs. Nurmi was asked to help revitalize the show, but she walked out when they refused to cast Lola Falana for the part of Vampira. This forced the producers to move on with the project anyway to seek out another actress for the part. Cassandra Peterson was an aspiring young actress who was looking for a shot at fame, and had to compete with over two hundred girls for the role. In the end, she was finally offered the part.

After winning the role, the producers left it up to her to create a new character for herself, as it seems legal issues prevented them from having her play Vampira without Nurmi's consent. Cassandra and her friend Robert Redding originally came up with a sexy punk/vampire look that resembled Sharon Tate from "The Fearless Vampire Killers." However, the producers hated the idea, so they were forced to come up with another look for her character.

Unable to continue with the Vampira character, the name Elvira was conceived. What followed from there was Elvira's Movie Macabre featuring a quick-witted valley-girl type character named Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. With heavily-applied pancake horror make-up and a towering black beehive wig concealing her flame-red hair, the transformation from Cassandra Peterson to the sexy "Elvira" was so drastic that no one ever recognized her out of costume.

Long story short, the character was an instant success. The Elvira character rapidly gained notoriety with her tight-fitting, low-cut black gown which showed more cleavage than had ever appeared on local Los Angeles television before; which made her instant sex symbol in our society. Although she's no longer as popular as she used to be, you can't deny the impact she's had on American pop culture, as it would be hard to find another Elvira out there.

Albert Einstein explains his theory

Albert Einstein speech to the world

Albert Einstein

What can I say about the guy that many readers don't already know about him? Well he's widely considered one of the most intelligent men that ever lived, and he's responsible for many of today's modern inventions due to his brilliant mathematical equations such as the theory of relativity. Albert Einstein is regarded as the "Father of modern physics." A visionary among scientists, and a previous Nobel Peace Prize winner for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect; which would prove pivotal in establishing the quantum theory in physics.

Truly a great man if there ever was one, and....he had one weird hairstyle. Most guys would be laughed at, or deemed insane if they had that type of hair. However because the man was such a genius, he's arguably only person who could pull off such a goofy look and still be taken seriously. But what do I know? If urban rumors are true, Marilyn Monroe thought he was hot, so I guess girls love a intelligent man with goofy hair.

Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura

Before Jim Carrey started to try to become more of a well rounded actor by adding more dramas to his acting resume, he was doing comedies and brief sketches on Fox's hit show "In Living Color." However, one of his most coveted roles is "Ace Ventura", a pet detective that will solve any case regarding animals. Although the first film was a bit unusual to say the least, it was actually quite funny and enjoyable. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard in a Jim Carrey film, as it still ranks as one of his best. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the sequel, as even Jim admitted he may have went a bit overboard on the camp humor in that one. Regardless though, Ace Ventura was a very lovable character, and his hairdo is definitely one of a kind.

Chewbacca

Previously starred in George Lucas' original "Star Wars trilogy", where he played the furry grunting and howling sidekick to Han Solo. Kicking a** on Storm troopers while taking names. Indeed, Chewbacca is one of a kind, as he was even honored on MTV. Where he would receive a lifetime achievement award during the infamous MTV Movie Awards. Although Chewie hasn't been in any other films since, other than a brief cameo on "Clone Wars", you really don't see much of the giant fur ball these days. Sure, I'll be the first to admit his hairstyle is not original, as his design is obviously ripped off from werewolf films. Yet none of those werewolves ever had the likability or the charisma that Chewbacca ever had on screen. Hell, he's only done three films, and he's a household name already. And the films date back all the way to the 1970's, yet he's still recognized to this day.

Disorder in the Court

The Three Stooges

Although Curly has normal hair considering how popular the bald look is these days, you have to admit that Moe and Larry have probably the goofiest hair styles that you'll ever see. Then again, it's probably one of the many reasons why they're so funny. The strange thing about the Stooges is that their series of short films were always the opening for major features across Hollywood, but nobody ever predicted that the short films would move on to become more famous than the movies the Stooges were opening for. Indeed, it seems the lovable Three Stooges have become so ingrained into pop culture that it's amazing to think about how relevant they've been through various shorts, movies, and cartoon shows over the years.

In fact, there were a total of five different stooges throughout their history. However, the holy trinity of Curly, Moe and Larry has always been a favorite among fans.

Gin and Juice (Warning: This Video Contains Adult Language and Situations that are not suitable to younger viewers. Viewer discretion is advised)

Snoop Dogg

Although I hate to do this to one of the best rappers of all time, I have to say it. The pigtails on a guy just looks silly if you ask me. No offense to Snoop Dogg, who I'm sure has his reasons for donning the pigtail look. However, it's one of those hairstyles better suited for....a little girl. Not that there's anything wrong with it, as I'm certainly not sexist. However, a pair of pigtails on a guy looks kind of weird. Then again if there is one cool guy out there that can pull it off, then it's definitely Snoop Dogg, as I doubt this will effect his street cred that much anyways. Besides, he's probably too busy sipping on gin and juice anyway.

Adams Family Groove

Cousin It

Anyone remember the "Addams Family?" Well on the show it featured their lovable Cousin It, who was basically a big walking and talking fuzz of....hair... Yep, just pure hair that walked around wearing a hat and sunglasses. Of course, you could hardly tell what the little fur ball was even saying, but it seems like his costars always understood him just fine. However, since I highly doubt we'll see too many characters that's made out of pure hair, then Cousin It deserves the honor of being mentioned on this list.

Kid N Play Dance off

Christopher "Kid" Reid from "Kid and Play"

Once a very popular rapping duo in the late 80's and early nineties, but they've seemed to have faded away over time. However, you can't deny how big Christopher's afro was back then. His afro is freaking huge. He's probably the only black guy that I ever seen wear an afro that ridiculously high. Then again, I'm not here to judge. Kid and Play also did a series of movies as well in addition to their songs, where the duo would costar in each film. One of their more popular series was the infamous "House Party" movies, along with my personal favorite, "Class Act" and a few others.

Ed Grimley played by Martin Short

For those that remember the early days of "Saturday Night Live", then you might've seen Martin Short portray his infamous socially inept character, Ed Grimley. Ed was essentially kind of a weird character that wore his pants almost up to his chest like an old man, and had the front of his hair stick up similar to how Alfalfa had his hair in the "Little Rascals." Ed Grimley was a recurring sketch that Martin Short would often portray during his younger days at "Saturday Night Live." Although unlike most the show's modern sketches, this one never spawned enough interest to generate a movie. However, it was given it's own cartoon show for a while on Saturday mornings.

Don King

Con man, promoting genius, boxing entrepreneur, savvy businessman, humanitarian, and downright eccentric. These are some of the many terms used to describe Don King over the years. Although Don King was the mastermind behind some of Middleweight and Heavyweight boxings' greatest fights ever, he was also known for his unconventional business tactics ranging from boxers signing a blank contract to arranging arguably one of the biggest fights in Heavyweight history with "Rumble in the Jungle." A fight that featured popular heavyweight, Mahamad Ali, trying to regain his title from the younger and stronger, George Foreman, in Africa.

Although many boxers such as Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson, and Mahamad Ali, to name a few, have claimed that Don King is the devil in disguise. However, it would be hard to deny that without his ingenuous ideas to promote the sport that any of these fighters would've been as famous as they are today. Regardless of how you might feel about the man, you have to give credit where credit is due. The man knows how to market a product to the masses.

By the way, you got to love that weirdo hairstyle that's reminiscent of Albert Einstein himself.
