She's Out Of My League: The hot girl, Molly didn't like this...she loved it! In fact, I'm sure you will too!

How Can A Hard 10 Go For A 5?
Have you ever met the girl of your dreams that you felt was too good for you? Or perhaps she was way out of your league, the mere thought she'd ever want you is laughable to say the least. Yeah, all us nerdy guys have been there before. I know I have. In fact, it seems like only yesterday I was the only senior in high school, getting bullied by freshman. Or having the rare joy of a girl laughing in my face when I asked her out. Yeah, good times (Of course, I'm being sarcastic for those that can't tell). Needless to say, I think a lot of guys can relate to Kirk (Jay Baruchel), who has the fortune of finally dating a super hot girl, Molly (Alice Eve), that would make any man drool. Kirk is essentially an every man. He works as an ordinary airport security officer, who one day decides he's going to beg his ex-girlfriend, Marnie (Lindsay Sloane), take him back after she dumped him two years ago. The problem? His ex-girlfriend along with her new lover, Ron (Hayes MacArthur), have no respect for him what so ever. Almost making his sad attempt to win her back, in the beginning, too pathetic to even watch as you could tell by the disgust in Marnie's face, she didn't want anything to do with him despite his tears. To make matters even more worse, Kirk's family favors his ex-girlfriend, as they treat her more like a member of the family than him. In fact, they even plan a trip, to Branson, Missouri, without even bothering to invite Kirk, but they weren't too shy to invite Marnie and Ron though. Yeah, some family. To make a long story short, Kirk is your typical nerd, who can't seem to get a break in life. That is until he meets Molly.
Molly is not only beautiful but she's actually quite charming, and highly intelligent to boot. In fact, she even has a pure heart of gold, as she still accepts Kirk even when his family tries to ruin his relationship with her or when he gets a lot of bad advice from his friends. Plus, if those things weren't bad enough, her parents don't like him either as they prefer her ex-boyfriend, Cam (Geoff Stults), who wants to win her back. At the risk of sounding gay (which I'm not), the guy is pretty much a stud. The only real flaw about him is that he's a huge jerk, and he cheated on Molly a lot when they dated.
Sadly, the movie isn't that original as it obviously rips off other films like "Can't Buy Me Love", "Knocked Up", "I Love You Beth Cooper", and many others where it shows some would be every man hooking up with the typical super sexy girl, whom every man wants. Having said that though, the story is still pretty entertaining and genuine. "She's Out Of My League" doesn't pretend to be anything other than a romantic comedy, as the writers know it's supposed to be just another run of the mill cliche comedy, but hey it's still funny. In fact, I couldn't stop laughing as I saw how Kirk tried all these various stunts to keep his new girlfriend like shaving his testicles. To even watching him prematurely ejaculating in his pants while making out with Molly before they have sex. Right before her own parents walk in on them, as I just couldn't stop laughing over that. Granted, I would never kick another guy when he's down like that, but the way the movie sets it up is pretty freaking hilarious.
The love story between Kirk and Molly seemed pretty genuine and unrushed as well, as that's a big thing for me in romantic comedies. Sure, it would've been so easy for them to go for the whole "love at first sight" schtick. Instead, the writers actually do a fairly good job where romance between their characters seem fairly believable without insulting the intellect of the audience.
As I've said before, "She's Out Of My League" may not be the most original comedy out there, but it's certainly one of the funniest. A perfect comedy that anyone will enjoy.

Thanks for the review Steven. This is really not my type of film or genre but you subtly threw in some personal tidbits and the story line flows making a great review. Maybe if I'm desperate for a laugh I'll know where to turn! Thanks!
